Facility Access

The following applies only to members who have their personal email address on their account. Members without a personal email address or mobile device should leave the email field blank in Amilia. They will be able to request a printed access card. A replacement card fee applies if the first is lost.

Setup

On the first day of your program / membership, you will receive an email from our partner Avigilon Alta titled “Unlock doors at Côte Saint-Luc”

  • First, download the Open application (IOS || Android)
  • Once the Open application is fully downloaded, return to your emails and tap “Set up on Phone”.
    • If you cannot find the email, you can enter your email on the application and a fresh link to pair your account will be sent.
  • Updated or recently added your email? Contact the front desk or Jonathan to resend the access email!

To unlock entries using the app

You can open the app to wave/touch at the door.

To unlock entries without opening the app (background)

  • Enable Bluetooth on your device and allow Avigilon Alta Open to use Bluetooth.
  • Set location permission to Always.
  • Allow Avigilon Alta Open to use Motion & Fitness Activity (Allow background battery usage on Android).
    • Motion & Fitness Activity will put the app on standby when not in use to preserve battery. When testing unlock capability make sure the phone is NOT inactive. Move it around before you attempt to test Wave to Unlock.
  • You can wave to unlock without opening the Avigilon Alta Open app.

F.A.Q

  • My phone is set up, but I get an error along the lines of: Denied – Request type was rejected by an Entry Schedule or default Entry State
    • Check that your Bluetooth is on
    • Ensure that you gave the Open app permissions to use Bluetooth and Location (the minimum required permissions).
      • You can update missing permissions by clicking on the Blue banner indicating “Fix Permission”
    • Ensure that you are physically next to the scanner
      • We recommend tapping your phone on the scanner instead of using the unlock button in the Open app.
  • I never received an email from Avigilon to set up my application
    • Please contact Jonathan or the front desk to update your email on file and resend the invitation!
